The “Monetization” subject area contains documents concerning monetization activities and the calendar of numismatic issues of the Italian State. In particular, this area is a window of documents produced by Bureau VII of Division VI of the Department of the Treasury, whose activities may be summarised as follows:
- State monetization in compliance with Art.105 A, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of the European Community
- Legal and administrative measures concerning the withdrawing of Italian coins
- Monetary convention with the Vatican State and with the San Marino Republic
- Relations with the State Typography and Mint and coordination of government control offices
- Financial flows and supply of securities to the State Central Office of the Treasury and to the Provincial Offices of the State Treasury
- Studies, documentation and participation in internal and external numismatic exhibitions.
